antiqua', palatino, serif;\">\u3010AROGYA\u3011: <\/span><\/strong><\/span><em>When it comes to the music I grew up with, catchy tunes were definitely at the forefront. One band that had a significant impact on me during my childhood was Europe, particularly their iconic song &#8220;The Final Countdown.&#8221; I remember the first time I heard it, I was completely blown away. From its infectious melodies to its impressive production and vocal arrangement, it left a lasting impression on me as a kid.<br \/>\nAs I continued to explore music, I was introduced to a wide range of bands that further shaped my musical tastes. Dio, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Halloween, etc, were among the notable names that I discovered. Each of these bands brought their own unique style and sound, and I found myself drawn to their powerful music.<br \/>\nOne band in particular had an incredibly impactful effect on me during my school years, and that was Linkin Park. Even though I didn&#8217;t know how to play any instruments at the time, I was inspired by Chester Bennington&#8217;s vocals and his ability to scream with such raw emotion. I wanted to emulate his singing style, and I vividly remember using a small flower pot as my makeshift microphone. I would pour my heart into singing and screaming along to Linkin Park&#8217;s songs, sometimes to the point of embarrassing my parents in front of our neighbours.<br \/>\nLinkin Park&#8217;s music resonated with me on a deep level. Their fusion of rock and rap elements was unlike anything I had heard before, and their lyrics touched on themes and emotions that spoke to my teenage self. Culturally, which do you feel is more your own, Nepal or India?<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">\u3010AROGYA\u3011: <\/span><\/strong><\/span><em>As musicians, language has never been a barrier for us. We firmly believe that music is a universal language that transcends linguistic boundaries. It is all about the frequencies and vibrations that people can emotionally connect with. Our aim has always been to express our feelings and emotions through our music, and we have found that people can still connect with our songs, even if they don&#8217;t understand the specific language we are singing in.<br \/>\nWe have received messages and emails from international fans who genuinely enjoy our Nepali songs, even though they may have no understanding of the lyrics. It&#8217;s the essence, the vibe, and the emotions conveyed through the music that resonate with them. Music has the incredible power to create a deep emotional connection, regardless of the language being used.<br \/>\nRegarding our band name, AROGYA, it was indeed derived from the Sanskrit word that we interpret as &#8220;healer.&#8221; We chose this name because we wanted our music to have a positive impact on people&#8217;s lives, promoting a sense of well-being and healing through our songs.<br \/>\nIn terms of cultural identity, we view both Nepal and India as integral parts of who we are. We acknowledge and celebrate the cultural heritage of both countries, as well as our shared humanity. We strive to touch the hearts of individuals and encourage them to reflect on their own lives and the world around them. We believe that music has the power to inspire and bring about change, and we prefer to convey our own views and experiences through our songs. While we may tackle social issues in our songs, we approach them from a more individualistic perspective; for example our Nepali songs \u2018Astitwa\u2019 is about the dark seedy world of child trafficking and \u2018Pralaya\u2019 is about impending holocaust on climate emergency and warmongering between nations. Our songs from Genesis and Supernatural Albums deals with love, pain, heartbreak, loneliness, depression, the spiritual, the transience and the effort to escape the inner demons, as does life as such.
