Q2: I listened to “INSTANT GRATIFICATION”. And that’s really awesome!! I believe that it will be your new masterpiece. Anyway, could you explain about the music of “INSTANT GRATIFICATION”? How did you progress from “ACCEPTANCE SPEECH”?
【WILL】: We had time for both vocalists to work together for a year and get to know each other’s strengths. I as a songwriter also had the opportunity to work with Tilian on Acceptance Speech and going into Instant Gratification, knew what type of songs to write that would allow him to shine.
Q4: What does the title “INSTANT GRATIFICATION” and artwork mean? Is that kind of metaphor of modern society that we live in?
【WILL】: It’s a nod the the singularity and the possible human vs. robot war. We don’t agree with a lot of the things that are happening in society and the ways that people think. A lot of this record has Jon and Tilian speaking from these perspectives that we dislike in a sarcastic manner.
【WILL】: 同意するよ。奇妙だけど起こりうる”人対ロボット”の戦争についての警鐘だよ。現代社会で起こっている多くの事や人々の考え方に僕たちは納得がいっていないんだ。このレコードの大部分は JON と TILIAN が僕たちの嫌っているそういった考えを皮肉を使って伝えているんだ。
Q5: There is no member change this time. Is that right? I think Tilian Pearson really fits in the band. He has great voice and Pop/Emo sence. So, what’s the difference between Kurt Travis and Tilian?
【WILL】: They’re very different in a lot of ways. I think Tilian is the greatest hook writer i’ve ever worked with. I also really like the broad range of subjects he enjoys writing about.

Q6: Anyway, you are also owner of Blue Swan Records. Roster is so cool and attractive!! Stolas, Sianvar, Secret Band, Hail the Sun, Ediola…They are generally called as Post-Hardcore. So,what is the purpose of managing Blue Swan? What kind of bands do you want to contract with?
【WILL】: I want to help good young bands get to the next level and expand the popularity of the genre. Heavy music is getting bogged down with breakdowns and generic hair cuts. Its time for progress.

“Claw Point” is an aggressive, tumultuous piece that contains some of the most riff-driven and spacious parts on Allomaternal. Word’s getting around that Allomaternal is a concept album, and “Claw Point” chronicles the first major conflict in the story. You’ll have to wait for the album to drop to hear it in context.
